DEMO ACCORDS - Sydney Launch Evening with Pia Long, 10th December 6:30pm

I am thrilled to announce that Perfumer Pia Long will be zooming in from London to take us through her highly anticipated book Demo Accords!

Demo Accords is a unique combination of Art, Perfumery and Writing. A book that contains formulas, and a scent kit that you can smell along with the work.

Containing ten fully published perfume formulas, one piece of fiction and nine essays on political and personal topics, Demo Accords is a multidisciplinary collection of narratives where perfumery is part of the story and the stories are part of the perfumes.

In this work Pia explores the intersection between her two lifelong loves: writing and perfumery. Part manifesto, part polemic, part protest, part autobiography, the common thread is radical vulnerability of the perfumer’s art, practice and personal views.

In our special event, held upstairs at the Cult of Scent Atelier, Pia will take us through the thought processes and inspiration of the book and the formulas as well as the fragrant elements used to create them.

In a unique Perfumer to Perfumer event, We will smell the components of a selection of formulas and how they have come together to create the scents as well as the final scents.

There is an admission fee as this event will be catered, this also helps us to know how many to order for.
You will be welcomed with a glass of wine or non alcoholic beverage and there will be finger food and nibbles. All will be gluten free, and we can accommodate dietary issues if you let us know.

Please aim to be here at 6:30pm so we have time to relax before the 7pm session with Pia.

We will have a few copies of the book and scent kits available on the night.
